Shipping Authorization
You authorize JB Freight Solutions to act on your behalf in receiving, processing, and forwarding shipments from the United States to Jamaica.
Accurate Labeling Policy
You agree to provide accurate shipping and contact information to ensure timely delivery and communication. All packages must be clearly labeled with the customer's full name and JB Freight Solutions ID. Improperly labeled or unidentified packages may be delayed or rejected.
Prohibited Items Policy
The following items are strictly prohibited from shipping through JB Freight Solutions, regardless of the shipping method:
· Firearms, ammunition, or weapon parts
· Illegal drugs or controlled substances
· Counterfeit or trademark-infringing products.
Items such as hazardous materials, perishable goods, or lithium batteries may be considered on a case-by-case basis for sea freight only, and must meet all packaging, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
JB Freight Solutions reserves the right to refuse any item at our discretion, even if legally shippable. Customers are responsible for confirming item eligibility before shipping and selecting feasible shipping method. Prohibited items may be returned, seized, or destroyed.
Invoice Submission Policy
To ensure timely processing and Customs clearance, customers are required to submit all invoices or order confirmations for each package shipped through JB Freight Solutions.
Invoices should be submitted before or at least immediately upon being delivered to our U.S. address. JB Freight Solutions is not liable for additional charges caused by missing or incomplete documentation.
Customs & Duties Policy
All incoming shipments are subject to inspection and clearance by the Jamaica Customs Agency. Goods with a declared value of under $100 USD are generally exempt from duties. Shipments over this threshold may incur customs duties, GCT, and other taxes, which are the customer’s responsibility. JB Freight Solutions will assist with customs processing but does not control or influence customs decisions, charges, or processing times. We are not liable for delays caused by customs.
Lost or Damaged Items Policy
Customers must inspect packages immediately upon receipt. Any missing or damaged items must be reported to JB Freight Solutions within 48 hours of pickup or delivery.
To initiate a claim, customers must provide:
1) Proof of value (e.g., invoice or receipt).
2) Clear photographs (for damaged items, if applicable).
All claims will be thoroughly investigated in collaboration with our shipping partners to determine the cause and establish responsibility. JB Freight Solutions is committed to resolving such matters fairly and reasonably based on the findings. Any compensation offered will reflect the outcome of the investigation and the level of coverage selected at the time of shipment.
Storage Fees & Abandoned Packages
Customers must collect their packages within 7 days of arrival in Jamaica. After this grace period: Day 8 to 14: No charge.
From Day 15 onward: JMD $200 per package per day.
Packages not collected within 30 calendar days of arrival will be considered abandoned. JB Freight Solutions reserves the right to auction, donate, or dispose of these packages to recover storage or administrative costs. Customers forfeit all rights to abandoned items and are not entitled to refunds or compensation.
Liability
While we strive for safe and timely delivery, JB Freight Solutions is not liable for delays caused by external factors such as customs clearance, natural disasters, or carrier disruptions.
